Element at the Mining Show 2022 in Dubai
On the 15-16th of November, Element Group took part in the most important venue in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia – The Mining Show 2022. As one of the area’s major centers of commercial activity, Dubai has gathered more than 100 exhibitors representing mining companies and quarries, as well as service contractors, engineering companies, and consumables suppliers. Moreover, it offered a great opportunity to network, investigate the needs of the industry, and present the best practices and technologies of successful global mining projects.
The Middle East, Africa, and South Asia mining industry has a promising future. Governments realize the need for contemporary, transparent, and open regulatory frameworks to diversify their economies and capitalize on their countries’ mineral wealth. Although the opportunities for mining and construction companies are impressive, there are also many challenges, especially concerning cost optimization and profit making. Since the replacement of spare parts is a considerable part of the production process, there is high demand for crusher and slurry pump parts in the regions.
Despite the fact that the market is somewhat competitive considering the presence of Asian and Indian aftermarket companies, we observed a high interest in Element’s alternative spare and wear parts from the expo visitors, mainly from the East African countries and the Middle East, where many projects in the mining industry are being invested. However, not only spare parts availability matter when choosing a supplier, but an individual approach is valued the most.
Eselalo Ampofo, the Head of Sales, who presented Element at The Mining Show, commented:
“Mining customers were interested in our approach, not only for being a reliable alternative supplier but also because we are an engineering company able to save operation costs by analyzing the wear rates and re-designing parts according to customer’s needs to increase their performance.”
Thanks to the stand location near the main entrance, Element Group attracted many visitors during two days of the expo and even received recognition as last year’s participant, even though Element has recently changed its corporate identity. In comparison to the previous year, attendance at the expo impressed us to a great extent.
Luis Pinto Leite, the Business Manager responsible for this area, shared his impressions on the event:
“Exhibition fully met and even exceeded our expectations before going there. Even though The Mining Show is a compact event occupying only one pavilion, the number of visitors is higher than at much larger events we have visited in other areas. I would also like to point out the quality of the visitors – we have met only people working in the mining industry or aggregates production, many of which were actual decision makers.”
The Business Manager noted that during the expo, some interesting inquiries were received, as well as questions about own developments of Element Group, such as THOR liners and Element TC plates. The inquiries came from mines, cement customers, aggregates producers, and local traders from UAE, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. With all the potential customers, Element Group has established a plan for future communication and even for personal site visits.
It proves that the Mining Show in Dubai is the leading event in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. The expo became a perfect place to present the company in the market, as these regions have enormous promise for a booming mining industry.
“I am confident that we will participate in the event in the future.” – concluded Luis Pinto Leite.
