Welcome to the story of Element Mining and Construction (ELMC), a Finnish manufacturer of spare and wear parts for mining and construction equipment. From its very inception, Element’s purpose was crystal clear: to develop and offer products with the best value for money.
Finland
In 2016, in the manufacturing capital of Finland, the city of Tampere, a group of mining industry experts with a wealth of practical experience in equipment manufacturers of well-known brands and service companies in the field, embarked on a journey that would revolutionize the market.
Fueled by a burning desire to bridge the gap between exorbitantly priced parts from equipment producers and low-quality alternatives from no-name manufacturers, they set out to create a company that would redefine the industry’s standards. Thus, the Element brand was born.
Romania
In Romania, we opened our office to serve as a strategic hub, covering neighboring areas such as Serbia, Macedonia, and Bulgaria. This expansion allowed us to better cater to the growing demand for our quality wear and spare parts, strengthening our presence in the region and enhancing our customer service reach.
Portugal
In Portugal, strategically positioned as the most western point of Europe, we established our office with a keen focus on serving the Middle East and Africa regions. Additionally, our warehouse in Portugal plays a pivotal role as a strategic location, ensuring efficient logistics and timely deliveries to our customers in these areas.
South Africa
In response to the growing trend of mining companies making acquisitions and investments in the Sub-Saharan African region, Element strategically opened its office in South Africa. By establishing a local presence and a distribution center, we aim to align with the vision of the mining industry’s future development in Africa. This expansion allows us to offer timely and specialised support to mining companies, catering to their evolving needs.

By strategically relocating our production facilities closer to our warehouses and end customers, we have minimised the distances traveled in our supply chain. Additionally, when it comes to container transportation, we always strive to transport full containers whenever possible. By maximising container capacity, we minimise the number of trips required, reducing fuel consumption, and further lowering our CO2 footprint.
