Element at the Mining and Minerals Hall 2022

The largest mining industry event in the Andalusia region, the Mining and Minerals Hall, gathered more than 10,000 people, 150 exhibitors, and 70 speakers, as well as established a platform for a few thousand business-to-business meetings. During the three days of the exhibition, Element Group’s booth received a lot of attention from its potential partners and gathered an up-to-date picture of the market’s demand.

The current economic situation has given a good lesson and an understanding of the importance of raw materials extraction which is a key to technological development and the change towards a more sustainable energy model. The event has been supported by the authorities, who have agreed to highlight the importance of metal mining for Andalusia: “This is the time when we need more than ever essential raw materials to achieve all the challenges associated with the Green Deal, the energy transition, and electrification”, – the commissioner of the MMH 2022, Javier Targhetta, stressed.

The increase in raw materials production will consequently cause a significant increase in consumables consumption. Element Group is ready to meet a high demand from the market for affordable high-quality wear and spare parts for mining equipment and for that reason presented two product lines – crusher parts and parts for slurry pumps. In fact, despite the presence of a large number of OEM brands at the exhibition, interest in the Element brand was high.

Francisco Bravo, a Business Manager responsible for the Iberia region, noted:

“Mining is a rather small industry in Iberia, so seeing so many familiar faces was great. We had interesting discussions with potential customers that are looking for a reliable partner that can add value. Most importantly, we were happy to see the recognition that Element is receiving not only from customers and partners but also from the competition which Element respects very much. We believe that it makes us better every year and pushes us to create new products and services.”

Since crushing and slurry handling operations are crucial for any mining plant and, in many cases, can be a bottleneck of the entire process, Element products were highly relevant to the expo visitors. Spare and wear parts for slurry pumps became a highlight of our stand. We have learned that local mining companies experience excessive wear of the parts and are actively looking for options helping to prolong the lifetime of spares. Fortunately, we offer solutions that could maximize the operational lifetime of spares, for instance, with the help of part geometry alterations.

Eselalo Ampofo, the Sales Director responsible for the Slurry Handling Solutions product line, shared his impressions of the expo:

“I am glad to say that exhibition fully met the expectations. We were able to meet our current customers and partners, as well as start negotiations with our potential customers from the area. As a result, we have agreed on a course of action with everyone who visited our stand, so within the next two months we will be able to start business relationships with them.”

To sum up, the international event served as a great platform to expose new products, discuss new projects, and debate the future of the sector, favoring networking among participants and the face-to-face exchange of expertise.
“There is no doubt that Element came to this exhibition to stay. We will definitely participate in the next event during the coming years.”, – Ampofo concluded.
